Given the very good geographical position, just in the centre of the Etruscan coast, Cecina became a modern tourist and commercial centre, very appreciated by amateurs of shopping and holidays. Well-known seaside resort, with a beautiful pinewood with a park for children and a long promenade where are located many tourist and bathing facilities as well as typical restaurants, appears lively and animated also during the night.

Cecina boasts ancient Etruscan origins and many finds from this period are preserved in the Archaeological Museum inside the eighteenth-century Villa Guerrazzi, where is possible to admire a rich collection of archaeological findings from every part of Italy and to visit the “Museo della vita e del lavoro della Maremma Settentrinale”, a museum dedicated to work and daily life of this area.

Particular interesting is also the Archaeological Park of San Vincenzino, dated Roman, where is still possible to see and visit the ancient underground water system, the remains of the thermal equipment and the big necropolis.

And if you want to spend a day and have fun you will have the possibility to dive in the swimming pools of the Water Park “Acqua Village”, that offers many enjoyable games such as the amazing slides or the swimming pool “idromassaggio”, or you can walk inside the Park Gallorose, a nice faunistic centre with animals of every species. In Cecina there is also a tourist port and you have the possibility to practice many sports and taking part in different sport and folk events, that allows to enter in contact with the local tradition and to taste the typical deliciousness.
